Special Presentation
At a recent Court of Honor, Sharon, John and Brian Criscione examine the special framed neckerchief that was signed by Troop 113 Scouts and Scouters, while Dylan Hutt and David Hauck look on. The neckerchief was presented to the Crisciones in memory of Alex, who lost his battle with cancer in November 2010 at age 19.

Back to Basics
.
On the weekend of April 9th and 10th, Boy Scout Troop 113 had its annual Back to Basics campout. This overnight trip gives younger Scouts a chance to learn some new skills such as knot tying and fire building. Older Scouts run these stations and are eager to lend a hand. This campout also provides an opportunity for aspiring First Class Scouts to complete their cooking requirement. In order to do so, they must plan a nutritious menu, buy the necessary food, and assign his fellow Scouts jobs in order to demonstrate leadership. After the cooking and skills are done, the troop unwinds with another Troop 113 favorite: football.
The outing also marked the final campouts for Senior Patrol members Brian Izzo and Mike Horvath, both of whom will age out before the next Scout year.
