Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Core Operating Principles and features

Permit the boys the unique experience of operating their own troop.   The troop exists for the boys to plan and conduct their outdoor program.  The troop is committed to training our youth leaders and trusting them to run the troop.

Get to know each boy on an individual basis and help him develop to his full potential.  The Scoutmaster Corp meets regularly with each scout and helps them find activities and opportunities for personal growth.

Have a quality year-round outdoor program with FUN, ADVENTURE and SPIRIT.  Teach and use Leave No Trace principles in our activities.  Our program offers accessible and rewarding activities to all our scouts.  We've done hiking, camping, biking, canoeing, fishing, mountain climbing, and backpacking.

Fully implement the Aims and Methods of Scouting. We offer a comprehensive scouting program with a focus on the ultimate purpose of Scouting!

Be active in service to the community.

Have ample qualified, registered, and trained leaders and supportive parents to provide the appropriate amount of support to the boys.  We have fully-trained adult leaders!  The Scoutmaster and two of his assistants are Wood Badge trained.
