Troop Events
Troop 113 is a boy led troop. At the beginning of each year, the Senior Patrol Leaders and the Senior Patrol at PLC will decide on the calendar of events each year.
Some annual events you can expect to see Troop 113 include:
March/April - Back to Basics campout
Skills based training along with timed to be the first campout for new scouts to the Troop bridging up from Cub Scouts
April / May - Expedition
Weekend away at a historically significant location to sight see, learn about history, and camp together as a troop. Locations are in a 7 year round-robin formation to ensure each scout in his years in the Troop can visit all the locations.
Locations include: Boston, Williamsburg, Philadelphia, Gettysburg, Annapolis, Washington DC, and Salem Mass.
July - Summer Camp
Scouts spend a week together at Boy Scout Summer Camp focused on earning badges and competing in scout competition events for team building and camaraderie
September - Backpack Camping
Hike along the Appalicatian Trail with your gear on your back in this fun train camping excursion
October - Cooks Competition
Campout where each patrol creates a menu and skit to a theme, prepares the meals and performance, and competes against the other patrols for the Golden Spatula!
November / December - Winter Cabin Camping
Cabin camping coupled with outdoor activities which in the past have included axe throwing, archery and the like.
January/February - Klondike
Scouts compete against other troops in this outdoor sledding competition
